Boeing dispute: consultation on US products on which the EU may increase duties

On 11 April 2019 the WTO’s Dispute Settlement Body adopted recommendations and rulings confirming that the US is in breach of the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures (SCM Agreement) in relation to US subsidies paid to Boeing. The EU is considering countermeasures in the form of additional duties on products from the US. The EU has drawn up a list of products originating in the United States that could potentially be subject to such increased customs duties, and is running a consultation on this.

The list considered for additional import duties  includes 46 seafood products.
