Further to the previous message on the inorganic arsenic proposal, the European Commission is currently running a consultation on the maximum levels of inorganic arsenic permissible in fish and seafood products.
SIPA has the opportunity to respond to the Commission on the proposal through FRUCOM, who will be providing an official response. If you would like to provide any comments, preferably accompanied with a detailed justification and/or occurrence data, please pass them on to me (I.Bartolo@seafoodalliance.org) by 13.00h on 17 January 2024.
