Commission postpones inorganic arsenic limits for seafood

In November 2021 the European Commission published a proposal that set maximum regulatory limits (MRLs) for inorganic arsenic in seafood products.

 

We have become aware of a newer proposal on inorganic arsenic MRLs that no longer contains those limits as regards seafood products. These are the newer documents, available on the website of the Danish authorities:

According to the Danish authorities, the inorganic arsenic MRLs for seafood are expected to be included in a future proposal in 2023.
