The European Commission has just published a significant update regarding the list of countries in EU Regulation 2024/2598 concerning antimicrobial medicinal products. If you recall, that list did not include countries such as India and Indonesia, and this meant that aquaculture product from India and Indonesia was not going to be permitted to enter the EU from 3 September 2026.

There is now a draft list of permitted countries that will replace the old list. This will happen in the coming days, according to the Commission, when the new Implementing Regulation is adopted. The new list includes India and Indonesia and almost all of the other countries that are missing in the current list.
