The European Commission has now formalised the list of countries that are in compliance with EU requirements on antimicrobial medicinal products. Countries on this list will be eligible to continue exporting aquaculture product to EU member states after 3 September 2026.

The list has been published in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1189.

The Implementing Regulation repeals Regulation 2024/2598 (the ‘old’ list) and provides the updated list as a new annex (Annex XVIa) inserted in Regulation 2021/405.
